The National Marine Sanctuary program is proud to announce a new partnership with the Outrigger Hotels - Hawaii. The Outrigger hotel chain has properties through Hawaii, Micronesia and Polynesia.

A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) has been signed and will allow a number of new and innovative programs to begin at the Outrigger Properties. At the Outrigger Keauhou property, a new Sanctuary kiosk has been installed, along with a high definition plasma screen TV, which guests can view informative information about NOAA, the National Marine Sanctuary Program and Hawaii's unique cultural and environmental legacy.

Additionally, from the months of January through April, volunteers from the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary provide free information lectures, information and posters to residents and guests a like, at the Outrigger Keauhou.

Future projects such as signage, education evening lectures, special exhibits and tours are in being discussed.
